Money Management

This program is designed to help participants develop money management skills and assists them in working with household budgeting. Staff work with program participants on a one to one basis to stabilize and/or improve household's financial situation through the completion of:

Representative Payee Services are also provided, upon request, to those households that have been legally required to secure the services of a Representative Payee.

DPCAA provides limited access to federal matching funds for an Individualized Development Account (IDA) through a statewide program, Saving Our Cents IDA. Funds saved through this program can be used, upon completion, to purchase a home, start a business or pay for post secondary education expenses. Tax preparation assistance is available through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program to income eligible households. Forms are prepared and filed electronically for indiviudals and households 2-3 months in advance of the tax filing deadline. At the present time this service is only available through the DPCAA main office in Devils Lake and program details can be obtained by contacting the Devils Lake office.
