High Plains Fair Housing Training
Pre-registration is required.
This session is designed to familiarize Community Action staff with the High Plains Fair Housing Center, which will provide a training on their services and their efforts to ensure fair and equal housing opportunities across North Dakota. High Plains is dedicated to protecting and promoting fair housing rights, offering resources to prevent discrimination, and advocating for policies that create more inclusive communities. Their work includes raising awareness about fair housing laws through education and outreach, investigating claims of housing discrimination, and enforcing fair housing laws. They also engage in advocacy to address systemic barriers, working with local, state, and federal agencies to expand housing opportunities. Additionally, they provide valuable resources to both tenants and landlords, helping to resolve conflicts and promote fair housing practices.
