May is Community Action Month!

Community Action Month is a time to celebrate the impact of Community Action across North Dakota and the powerful work happening every day to help people and change lives. Through our statewide network, we support hardworking North Dakotans as they build stability, overcome challenges, and move toward economic independence.

For more than 60 years, Community Action Agencies have been a trusted resource in every corner of our state, providing services like housing support, energy assistance, early childhood education, workforce development, and so much more. Together, we are strengthening communities and creating pathways to opportunity for individuals and families.

We are especially grateful to Governor Kelly Armstrong for officially proclaiming May as Community Action Month in North Dakota, recognizing the critical role Community Action plays in helping people break the cycle of poverty and achieve self-sufficiency.

This month, we celebrate not only the work, but the people: our dedicated staff, partners, and the individuals and families we serve. Community Action is rooted in connection, compassion, and a shared commitment to making a difference.
